Hello from San Antonio. I am looking forward to talking to other texans about the greatest fishing there is---Bluegillin in Texas.

Can I join even though I'm not from Texas? :-) Some of my all-time biggest bluegills were Lone Star fish!

I live in Magnolia Texas North of Houston. Just started stocking a little 1 ac. pond here in my back yard. Added 400 3" bluegill in September add 200 more next month can take any advice ya might have.

Gibbons Creek near Bryan. Any one fish up there? Not to far from the house

I'd say to wait 'til the temp gets up above 60F. 'Gills, IIRC, don't hit the beds until it's 63F or so, and I think that would give the little ones the best chance of survival.

I really don't know much about the southside of Houston. I live 40 miles north in Magnolia. I do know that the Woodlands lake are open to fishing

hi this is dale.went fishing to day.caught a mess of little bluegill.I fished pond down the rod from the house.october 10; 2010 at 8:oopm.

I'm impressed. I live in TX too, but my pond and creek bluegills have all but stopped biting for the winter.

Tomorrow at 2PM we all need to go outside an do a rain dance.

You know the cold weather is coming to Texas when all the geese are flying south as fast as they can. We can stand outside and see hundreds at a time. Have they reached Magnolia yet Rick?

I see them in all the rice field. Need to go get me a few.
