Three sets of treble hooks towards the dogs master would have been a good idea. However its been a long winter for everyone and I'm sure cabin fever some of the youngen's aren't thinking right and need older guys like you and Toody to give them a wake up calll............ it will set in by the time the young man get home . GOOD JOB

Hey Donald sorry it took me a couple days to see and approve this entry into the Gezzer Group. Been trying to get ready for a trip in 2 weeks to Southern Illinois and can't seem to get anything done.
In any case a VERY HEARTY WELCOME TO YA and there are lots of Gezzers here and a few kids too, 50 year olds etc. like Sir Jeffrey , Leo and other young uns.........

Ralph just remember one thing " In todays society everyone else's rights supersede yours " , That is just how lots of folks look at stuff today. Personally I like the once in a while encounters with the Rude set !!!!!!! I"m not afraid to call em a jerk or anything else I come up with , sometimes profanity and much unpleasant stuff follows ....... It's usually not with someone of our advanced age , but a kid of say 30 or older that only thinks about themselves. Most people our age are relatively civilized . THese younguns don't repect their elders and that's just the result of lack of manners from home , usually. No way to change it today Ralph , but these folk are fun to harass at times ......

It's not always the "young ones" who are rude. I was fishing at a local pond Monday, People run, walk, dog walk, etc around the pond. No problem. This older man, (I'm 72) decided his dog wanted to take a swim where I was fishing. Well I retrieved my line. I told him he was very rude. He said he had a "right" to let his dog swim and wade in the pond. I said true, but not near or in the path of someone fishing. He got pissed. Then I asked him, If he would mind if I cast to his dog and hooked him. Silence! He was red in the face, took his dog and left.

p.s. Never underestimate the power of being crabby. Used carefully, it can be very helpful....

Now you're taking, Earl. Even if as I have my own, weird theories on what is happening, I still gotta get by. So, yeah...people are whacked and getting more so. The thing to do is mess with them whenever possible.....
Comment by Earl W Story on March 22, 2013 at 6:43am

Yeah, and since there's nothing I can do about it, like getting older, I'll just work around it. I don't wanna end up being one of those crabby old men that never has anything good to say. So I'll simply just have to have a bit of sport with them!

This is what I meant Earl, when I suggested normally astute people are trying to get an answer.... something has changed, and it is noticed.
Aristotle also lamented the arrogance and disrespect of youth. That is not new.
But I'm hearing guys remark that they see it across the population at large.

Well, I didn't mean to cause such a stir. I was just appalled at such a lack of respect from younger people.
