I've used a Cumberland, and helped modded the poor thing to death. Wish I had the functional camera to document the grueling 8 hours of fun, after 24 bottles of beer.

If you need some tips on mods, let me know.

Find the Cumberland - that's the tube I'm getting next

let's compare notes and light this group up!

I got this one for $50 and its just like new. I did;t want to spend too much until I had a chance to make sure I would use it. I have no doubt I'll love it and most likely will upgrade it next year.

A yes. U-boat vs Donuts. I prefer V-boat over U-boat, or donut any day, just because I have to fight against windy conditions.

McSruff, I don't have any pics yet but its pretty stock and its one of the earlier models.

It's a U shape. I'm sure I will find it much better than the old ones we used 40 years ago.

Bill, Allen Morgan is from Sapulpa, and there was another guy, John W----- something.... Allen will know.
And Greg McWilliams, the Most Photogenic Angler on Earth isn't far from there.
Jen Nayfly, the same.

There's also a good Facebook group, "Fly Fish Oklahoma." You should check them out.

I'm trading a big float toon for Cumberland this season. It fits in my car - always important.

Looking forward to your pics. If you don't mind, let's see that tube of yours.

Slip Sinker pointed me to this group. I am just getting back into float tube fishing. I bought a used River Creek float tube from a guy in out Fly Fishing club. I live in the Tulsa, Okla. area and we have just a few more weeks before the small bodies of water will be warming up.

I've been trying poppers and bugs so I'm ready. Any Tulsa area guys around in this group?

I've got an XT with a few modifications you can fit a battery and medium size cooler quite nicely. The only caveat would be weight distribution. With a size 24 battery and a full cooler your going to be tail heavy. I did some mods on mine and largely solved the problem, but it's radical rethought. Heres the link to ftff you can take a look at what I did http://floattubeforum.do-talk.com/t4559-xt-almost-ready
