Reverse Rigging for Senkos and Other Stick Worms

OK, guys... a number of members have asked about the reverse rigging for Senkos, Yum Dingers and similar style worms we used to fish on top of heavy algae and weed mats to get those explosive, blow-up strikes from quality bass during late summer. So, here are a few pics to show this simple adaption...just run the 'tapered' end of the worm in on the front of the off-set worm hook so it can glide over top of the slop easier than the blunt end.

Fish it on 20 to 30 lb Sonic Braid...work it like a scum-frog and inch it along on top of the There is still lots of hot weather bassing to do all over the map, so give it a shot at your local, weedy lake!

4#6OZ. Didn't measure but should be right at around 19.5" Took an 1/8th oz. Johnson Shutter spoon tipped with a crawler piece .The small hooks were lightly hooked in the lip .If this wasn't a 54 degree water fish I might have lost her .Great feel on 6# test 4#diameter medium action rod .A good November fish at about 2pm on the west side where shade meets sunlight on the water .15' stained water .

Gary, I'm going to warn you now!  Once you get a taste of Smallies fighting in current, you'll become addicted very quickly!  I've been chasing stream Smallies off-and-on since May, and I can quickly see that becoming my M.O.

I fish the river on the tidal side of the dam, Sandy and I had good luck, she was using a pin's minnow   trolling it on spinning rod I was using a 8 wt and a 9 wt fly rod both have floating line the 9 wt has a 5'sinking head added. I was trolling the fly rod at the same time she was using her spinning rod.i was using the jawbreaker fly and also a bait fish fly pattern both were deadly we caught15 and landed 12 smallmouth bass all were C& R
