Anyone used any of those dissolved oxygen kits? Some of them are quite expensive. The cheap ones I don't know if they work as well. Also, it's the oxygen in the bottom of the pond I'm concerned about, and I have no idea how a person gets some of that up to test. Seems to me if you did collect some, it would then immediately have more oxygen in it.

Prepare your trap. Collect breadcrumbs and sugar along with a sheet of newspaper. At dusk, go to your chosen location and sprinkle the breadcrumbs onto the ground. Top that off with sprinkled sugar. Unfold the newspaper and place it on top of the breadcrumb mixture.

Leave and come back the following morning. It is important to check your trap while it is still early, probably at sunrise. Carefully lift the newspaper. Underneath you will find wild crickets. Use the butterfly net, or paper towel tube, to catch them. If you are quick, you can use your hands.

Can you tell me how much my fish weighs?

Answer: Fish are sometimes damaged when weighed. Using the appropriate formula for your species below, you can quickly calculate the "approximate" weight of your fish by using a ruler. You may also wish to download our trophy converter [PDF 68KB] in which we've done the math for you.

Please note when using the formulas:

length and girth are measured in inches,

girth is the distance around the body of the fish at its largest point, and

all answers are in pounds

To measure your fish:

A = length and B = girth

Formulas

bass weight = (length x length x girth) / 1,200

pike weight = (length x length x length) / 3,500

sunfish weight = (length x length x length) / 1,200

trout weight = (length x girth x girth) / 800

walleye weight = (length x length x length) / 2,700

For example, you catch a 16 inch walleye. Using the formula for walleye above: (16 x 16 x 16) / 2,700 = 1.5 pounds. Your walleye would weigh approximately 1.5 pounds
HOW TO Design your own fishing T-Shirttag:bigbluegill.ning.com,2010-10-26:2036984:Topic:1076242010-10-26T16:57:13.257ZJohn Sheehanhttps://bigbluegill.ning.com/profile/JohnSheehan

Like I say there are a lot of them out there.

You begin with a blank white t-shirt. Chose your color that you would like. Add picture or design. This can come from pictures on your computer and they also have clip art to chose from. Add a caption. You are only limited to you imagination. These are a few I designed with some friends of mine here at BBG. As you will notice you can decorate the back of the shirt also, but for this discussion and demo I only did the front.

It is a simple and easy download and it is free!! After the download you will find your picture folders that are on your computer with all your pictures. I don't know how they did that.

You will also find several tools for being creative with your photos.

Chose a folder with the pictures you would like to combine. At the bottom of the page you will find an icon titled Collage. Don't be afraid to experiment. After you have the collage you want, at the bottom of the page is an icon EXPORT. That will send it to your computer in a folder. It is a lot easer for a 2 picture collage if you have just a few photos in it, and not a folder with 66 pictures in it. You will see.
