<p>Tonight I caught a 15" Pickerel on a brown floating worm fished fast over weeds and rocks ,the same area by a boat ramp had brown snakes swimming around after dark .Saw the snakes in the headlamp wading back to the ramp/parking lot after dark, I catch Pickerel on a Johnson spoon with a Tube jig glued to it in a pond that has reddish Brown salamanders in it ,which is why I use the red/brown tube .I'm convincedPickerel feed on amphibians and that is what I try to imitate in my retrieves to…</p>

Clear water I use the blue stripped /Silver one ...muddy water I use the Orange Stripped/ Gold lift and drop on long casts ...gotta warn you I lose my share of spoons fishin from shore though ...Got a 19" Pickerel today 11/24/10 on a 1/4 oz Acme Shad King Flutter spoon in siver /Brown Trout pattern

well so far the only thing that has worked for me is small live shiners im wonderin if the pond im fishin just dosnt have that big a population of em in it, i know it has a healthy population of snappin turtles lol
