<p>Hi Dick, when I'm painting my jigs I just use a small pair of needle nose pliers on the hook eye. The paint doesn't stick to the pliers because they never get hot enough and don't get heated to cure, if any paint gets stuck it just scrapes off. The crappie forum has a large section on pouring and painting jigs.</p>
