<p>I agree with Mike. When ever possible look for braided, not twined. Embroidery floss in the finest grade comes to mind here. Dental floss was once used for tying float stops, too. It could work today, just as well. In seasons past I also use #8 mono in fluorescent green. That worked pretty good. </p>
