The only problem for me would be to keep the panfish and bass (usually swimming withthe suckers) off the bait long enough for the sucker to get it!

<p>Worms, nightcrawlers, and small insect larvaes such as white grubs are good to throw on the bottom with a split shot anywhere from 6 to 12 inches above the hook. I've hit plenty of them that way.</p>

@ Michael-I saw A LOT of suckers. The only way I have ever seen anyone catch them was gigging at night. I didn't know they would bite a hook. I saw blue suckers and hognose suckers. I'll have to try for them next time! I have a feeling I will be going there often!

Looks to me like that creek would hold plenty of suckers. Suckers are fun on light action setups with worms or larvae on the bottom.
