I have had good luck with them on crappies also.

I wonder if its the bait or the juice?

Do you or any one in the club know if there is any differences in Burkley Gulp used for crickets, crappie bites, worms, minnows, worms, maggots etc.

I have been using the Gulp Alive 1 " emerald shiner on a black 1/32 oz round jighead and getting a lot of crappies at PA's Lake Marburg this December. I am tossing them on 2 pound Triple Fish green mono in and around dead and dying weedbeds. Cold front pushed 'em back on 12-8, but they should perk up again after a few days.

Ive had very little success with them, but Ive mostly tried them, "au naturel"(if you can say that about an artificial bait). As a jig tip or trailer they might be something altogether different. Im wanting to try out the mini minnows, next.

I have often thought about taking a trip to Kentucky lake. Ive heard in the spring the crapie fishing is awesome. Is this true and if so what time of year would be the best to go?
