Tom, he was casting. We were fishing in about 8-10 of water, and the gills were hanging out in the bottom 2' of water or so. With the fly he had on, he could have gotten his fly to where the fish were with a long enough leader/tippet combo, and a small split shot, but it would have taken forever.<br />

With the sink tip fly line, it only takes a few seconds for the fly to get into the target zone.

Nice pictures! Was your buddy trolling or casting in his tube? Why did the sinking line make a difference? Reason for all the questions/ I am love to "troll" in my kickboat and was thinking about buying a sinking or sinktip line.<br />
