Greg, I looked in my fly boxes and I don't have any more of those Cypert-type minnows. The guy I use to buy them from is not around anymore and I don't tie flies, so I guess I'm not going to be able to help you on that one.

I'm glad it helped you, John. That's why I wrote it - to help people catch more fish. People can take the fun out of fly fishing by trying to make it much more complicated than it is. I like to make it as easy as possible so that more fishermen can enjoy it. It is a fun sport!

Thanks Greg! I don't think the bream have ever met a nymph they didn't like either. I'll see if I have any of those Cypert-type flies left and take a picture of one for you.

Cliff, This is a great artical. You have named several of my favorite nymph's!!!! I don't think I ever met a nymph I didn't like. One I didn't recognize is the Cypert type minnow pattern. Would like to see one. Again GREAT POST!!!!!
