Jim and Ken. I have all Pfluger ultra lite reels although small still don't know if the 150 yards of nano 6lb test will fill them. Wondering if you guys are using a backer line or the 150 yards is enough to fill them..

I don't use mono I do use fluorocarbon but that's even better if I don't have to tye on a leader. Thanks Jim.

I tie directly,it is so thin i dont see it being an issue. You could color the last 10 feet with a marker or make broken lines.I dont think seeing the line is the issue.I think that heavier mono either kills the action of a smaller bait or they feel the stiffness or resistance .I use nano for its castability ,small diametr and most of all it has no stretch,i stay in contact with the bait.I catch more because i feel even the softest of takes. My .02 any way.

oh yeah slip, im using 6lb/2lb on the braid.  even with my glasses i dont rightly know if i could thread the eye of the hook with it.  maybe i will need one of those needle threading thingies if i used 2lb, lol.

slip.....i dont tie on directly for bluegill mainly because of shellcracker(redear).  they mix in with the bluegill on the east side where the water is clearer and there is more weeds.  colored line will spook shellcrackers.  for my medium action white bass rod i tie on directly with 20lb gliss.

is nano braid slick, not kind of rough like 832?

6lb is all you need Dick.It is very small, the 2 is nearly invisible.I like 6 as i can usually straighten out most jig hooks .I foul hooked a monster carp in some deep trees a few years ago.It pulled the boat and we had no clue as to what it was.Once it came up after 15 minutes of  long rums on an ultra light the hook lodged just in front of it huge tail, broke at the bend.I use the green in some gin clear water with no issues. It does seem to have a little break in time to soften up a little then it really casts,No matter what knot you decide a quick overhand knot locks it;I have some that is 5 years on the same reel.Really great for small jigs as it cuts thru the water effortlessly and very sensitive,.I still prefer mono or fluro on live bait rigs.I use short composite rods with nano as the soft rod really loads and can really fling a small jig.

Most will be in southern Michigan since the border is about 8 miles from me. I do have favorites. Randell chain of lakes, Coldwater chain of lakes. Carpenter, My favorite Bankers Lake out of Hillsdale and so many more. I usually keep in a radius of about 70 miles. The lake in these areas are clear and need a long cast to fish them. I'm like a kid in a candy store can hardly wait. Got 2 new helix's for the boat both G2Ns . Got a 7" for the driver's seat and a 12" for up front at the trolling motor area.
