Channel cat on 4# Nano… had to put the pressure to the fish because of the dense layer of starry stonewort on the bottom… once the fish reaches that… game over

...i can cast the 8# GLISS about as long as the 4# Nano...

...tracy... i have the 2# Nano Braid ... i love it... very strong... i might rate it as strong as 6# mono.

have you tried any superlines without the 4# floro?

the wooden dowel is a great idea

...Dick ... what are your favorite lakes to fish?

i use suffix 832 and Gliss.  didnt like nanofil but have been wanting to try suffix nano braid.  i use 4lb flouro leaders and i have one rod still spooled with mono for shooting docks or casting when i need to slow down a little.  i spool the reel up with mono and then double uni the braid or gliss to that and then fill the spool up the rest of the way with about 50-75 yards of braid.  keeps it from digging and slipping on the spool and saves line and money.

get you a hard wood dowel for when you get hung to wrap the braid around to pull it.  never use your hand or it will cut you like a razor.

Thanks Kelly. I'll be giving it a try this spring. Got my 4 spools today in the mail.

I used it a lot the past two years, 4# is the heaviest I used, mostly 2 and 3" for flipping waxy tipped tiny jigs. Amazon has the white in 2, 3, 4#.

Thanks Ken. I did purchase 4 spools on ebay but couldn't find #4 but they did have #6 so I got that. I'll keep my eyes open for some #4 meanwhile.

...once you start using it Dick you won't turn back... in my personal experience thinness is the most important factor when it comes to stealth... 4# is my favorite but have gone down to 3#... haven't lost a fish since I gave up mono in 2005 and have gone to super lines.
