Sheer delight on the float tube.

Thanks guys!

Jeff, caught him on a green woolly bugger I tied on a size 8 hook, fished on an intermediate line in the east end.

This is the second largest bluegill I caught at Lake Perris this year- I caught a slightly larger one earlier this summer.

WHOA !!  THIS ONE WILL BE IN THE TOP 5 OF THIS YEARS CATCH !   CONGRATS TO YA BOB

This just might be the largest Bluegill caught on BigBluegill.com this year Bob!  (I''m not counting privates lakes where fish are regularly feed or an entrance fee is charged).  This fish was caught from a public lake where anyone can fish.  That fish just might reach 12 1/2 inches!  There's no hybrid here.  Just a purebred Florida Bluegills that some call a "coppernose".

Gorgeous fish Bob!  And a real giant too!  Congrats!  What fly pattern did you use?

Comment by Jim Gronaw on September 23, 2018 at 8:46pm

Absolute giant! Wish we had coppers here in the Mid Atlantic!
