Here and there John.I think they are getting scarce due to inter breeding with other species,They still are pretty common on a lake i visit every spring 170 miles south. They are usually very deep and dont get very big but are stunning to look at.

Hi John, I liked what I read about the squirrel tail jigs. Do you tie those yourself or can they be found on the market. I don't believe I have ever seen them before.

Hey John, I haven't done much fishing at all so far this year as I've had some other stuff going on. Hopefully I will find the time here real soon to fish. Hope you are catching the big ones.

Hey John...I am not involved in this huge, mega-outdoor show, but I did attend it on Monday with some friends. Likely the biggest on the East Coast, with 20,000 attending each day for about 10-days. I hung out at the fishing arena and bought a few things. Ate at Cracker Barrel on the way home.

I am about 75 miles due south from Harrisburg.

That striper was caught near the CBBT (Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel), fishing live eel off of a boat and near the pylon structures. We also caught another that was 54 1/2 lbs. That is the one my brother in law is holding in the pic. The one that I am holding was 34 lbs. I have yet to catch any freshwater stripers. I hope to do so soon though.

John, looks like you had a great day o' fishin. I'm still struggling with the freshwater catch. I can relate to you saying that you caught a 'dink' bass. but the lil bass I caught a couple of weeks ago, could be considered bait. lol This day you had, alone beets the very best day I've ever had on freshwater. Thanks for all of the pics and info.
