sorry about the picture wind was blowing me around. Fat 9 1/2" long. Didn't weight him good fight. Caught him on a fly slow reeling top water hit.

Bass will keep both bass and gills in check. Big gill will eat bass fingerling too.

I will pull any bass I catch over 16" long. As soon as I start seeing 10" gills I will pull any gill under 8" Large gill and small bass. Everything about 1 to 1 1/2 pounds. Just right for the grandkids to catch.

Rick you leaving all the small bass in there for now or have you started harvesting any yet.

I bet this time next year you will have 1000's of little bass in there, but I guess they will keep the 10000's bluegill in check.

looking nice Sharon. Need to add some rye grass to the dam and the bank, Rye grass will grow fast and help hold it together. Grow will in the colder weather

Water temperature 69 in pond. I don't think my bg spawned this month. Unlike Mag. Rick's.

pond full of these guys. I can catch 10 in 30 min with minnows
