Thank you for the welcome Dick. I am by no means a seasoned angler but have an interest in bream and crappie fishing. When I found this website, I was pleased. Hoping this place will either teach me added skill or point me where to learn some tricks to tryout from better experienced anglers. Thanks again!
Thanks Dick. The same goes for you my friend. I am a student of the sport and I am always open to learn new things. I am more than willing to share what little bit I know with anyone willing to listen.
Thank you for the welcome Mr. Dick Tabbert. I am by no means a seasoned angler but have an interest in ultralight fishing. When I found this website, I was delighted. What better place to learn some tricks to tryout from wily anglers who are much more experienced than I am. I was also happy to find the "Wild for Warmouths" group. I have an interest in pursuing the "sunfish with the large mouth and red eyes". I know that some people actually keep them as aquarium pets. They are ironically considered to be endangered in Pennsylvania but a nuisance in New Jersey, states which border each other. Have to go but am looking forward to the experience of being a member of this website. Thanks again!
Hi Dick thanks for the welcome. I have been trying for days to get on this forum and for some reason it didn't like my zipcode then my internet connection was lost for 1/2 a day and the link wouldn't work. I wish there had been a contact e-mail address to let somebody know I was trying to get on. Mac
Thank you for the welcome Dick. It is much heart felt. I will agree with you, it is easier to learn about all things when knowledge is shared, and a lot of time wasted with more enjoyment of an item, when you can pick up how to use it, as well as all of what it is capable of doing really quickly. I will keep watch and if I can help I will chime in, as well as ask if I should need the help. tight lines to everyone. Eric
Thanks Dick! Look forward to enjoying the site. Just getting back into fishing after a 20-some year hiatus. Will be checking into all aspects of catching the best fighting fish there is...
I am not back in the good ole U.S. of A. yet. I have a few more months to go yet before I will be back there wetting a line and bluegill hunting. But, I aim to make up for the lost fishing time as soon as I return. And thank you for your service, men like you and my dad paved the way for those of us to follow. I appreciate your service as well. I will keep in touch with you and would really like to purchase some of your flies as well as other members on the BBG. Then hopefully with some time, instructions, and experience, I will learn how to tie them myself. The NC heat can put a beating on us from time to time. That is why I find shady spots to fish...hahaha
And yes, I heard of you all the way in Afghanistan. It is hard to keep information on a good man from getting around. Technology at its best. I will be putting in an order for some flies from you in the very near future. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge and flies with me.
Thank you for the warm welcome to the triple B family. I have been an avid bluegill/sunfish fisherman since introduced to the sport by my dad while growing up in South Carolina. I have been away serving my country in the United States Army for over 22 yrs. I am now retired, but still working with our beloved military. I am currently in Afghanistan, but definitely plan on doing some real bluegill fishing when I return. I am out of Fayetteville, NC and there are some good spots to catch those citation gills in the surrounding area. My family loves to fish for them also. So, my wife and our two girls do our fair share at snatching a few of them out of the local ponds and lakes when time permits. Now, that I have been reading almost ever post on the site, I have a lot more to learn and some information to share as well. I've always looked at and wanted to fish some of the NC coastal areas that hold good bluegills, but I don't know anyone or any of the locations there. Hopefully that will change with me joining this site and upon my return back to the good ole USA. i have also noticed that your flies catch fish. I have fished with everything except flies for bluegills and have done pretty decent catching them from various locations around the world. but, I sure would like to try some of your flies one day and experience even more success catching those bruiser gills with them. I am more than willing to pay whatever it costs for some of them. Well, I have rambled on enough for now and it is time to get to watching out for our military that are still in harms way. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
I want to thank you again for the warm welcome.

Large "Thank You" for the Welcome. Doing the 'LOOKY LOU' still, before I much post. Don't like to participate in redundancy AND my computer skills are negligible. Read a LOT more than I write, but it looks like I may be around quite a bit.
I am going to retire in the near future. My hope is to spend my retirement pursuing the mighty Blue Gill. I mainly fly fish from a canoe, but I will have a boat when they go deep for the winter.

Thanks for the welcome.
I've been lurking here for quite some time and have learned some new techniques to add to the tool kit.
I mainly flyfish from a kayak, but I have started branching out to the spinning gear due to reading conversations here at bigblue gill.
Happy Birthday Dick! Many more pal!
Is today Dick's B-day??? Well in that case, Happy Birthday sir! Thanks for all you do for us here at BBG.
Happy bday Dick. Make sure to have a splendid day at home, and at least enjoy a few hours fishing.
