Quills is all our grandpa ever used that I can remember and taught us how. Cane pole, quill and natural bait (no fake lures). Red Worms, Mealy Worms, Catalpas and crickets. Bluegill love em! Boogieman- I love my quills! I will use one and keep one with Grandpa's ! He did use a rod and reel every now and then at East Lake though, but I hated them.
They are African Porcupine Quills, they are used a bobber, strike indicator, float. They keep your bait at the proper depth, and there is zero resistance for the fish to feel, they float vertically out of the water ,and are so sensative you can tell if a fish is licking your bait.

How does one get some of the Quills and I am unfamiliar with them, so could you tell me how they are used?
I sent you 2 quills, you can put 1 up if you want to , but they are made to catch fish, and they need to be used , ok if you tear one up I'll replace it, nothing would make me happier than you catching a monster on a LOFR , Boogieman Special.
Sorry , my bad , These are the Boogieman Special Porcupine Quills with Crimson Tops and sporting the letters BAMA , what Alabama Big Bluegill could resist
Wait for the Boogieman Special Crimson topped quills LOFR is sending. These will be free range gills, not force fed. They appreciate natural quills. Natural bait too!
