I first thought crappie on this one but then realized I had hooked a great specimen.......a true trophy panfish........this one a tick over 10" and beautiful...................

You ain't kidding Carl.......I gave all these fish a pass because they should not be hard to relocate........I like the chance to catch a real big one..........

The fight is more like a crappie Slip........a bluegill the same size is a much better fight........these fish can also be one of the lightest biters in the sunfish family but they do remain active in cold water when most other sunfish in our region are inactive...but it's a treat to find them this big......in many places these fish are only 5 to 6 inches tops..........
