Do you love big bluegill?
Rainbow Trout (4-14-17)
I hit one of the local ponds that gets stocked by the DNR for some put and take trout action. These ranged from 11-12". A lot of fun on UL gear.

Nice limit of trout there!
The ones stocked in the local lake here (Adams) are gone now, but they are fun while they last. A fly rod is fun to catch them with, too.

We've done them several ways. We just gut them, and clean them out before we throw them in the freezer so we can do whatever with them when we pull them out. We've tried smoking, baking, grilling, blackening, as well as frying them in the pan. I think I may like them blackened the best, but smoking and grilling them are pretty good too.
