Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

On this day it was slow.... Buddy and I fish a lake that literally receives no pressure. Which in turn seems to make this lake an automatic bite no matter the conditions. This day it was snowing and about 10degrees. Had a flurry of tip ups for about 30 mins and got this 30” fish.

Thanks John and Dick. We get most of our pike on large shiners/roaches, suckers, and believe it or not we got a few on Ballpark hotdogs. (Seriously!) Lake we tend to fish have pike coming through in water as shallow as 1’ all the way out into the 16’ depth. Although this year we also caught some of the bigger pike on much lighter tackle set ups .
