I use crawler pieces on the floating Jig'-heads for Perch and Bullheads. Work better on Perch as they don't get beat up as bad as with bullheads. Usually shallow in spring and Fall. Mister Twister sells them, but I am surprised more companies don't offer similar items. They work great and stay in the fish zone like a dropshot!

Afternoon John…..I haven’t tried that method…..my favorite method is Catawba worms but we also do well on night crawlers, vanilla extract soaked shrimp and a few on the marketed dough baits…..I like circle hooks for catfish, great hook set ratio in my opinion….I’ll have to keep an eye out for those jigs

Hey Jeffrey ?  Ever try those floating Jig heads with a split shot 8-12 inches above the baited hook.? That's one of my Bullhead rigs. I would like to locate a sturdier hook that has a floating Jig head on it though as they get beat up easy with Catfish.
