Lon, Have you tried Lake Fork, near Dallas somewhere????? I know some people from the Dallas Fly fishing Club. They say the Bluegill fishing is Good and nice Sized!!!!!!
These bad boys also take 'yellow, yellow-tail' dry/wet flies very well. i recall someone saying perhaps on YouTube, that bream (brim) don't like yellow or bright colors. Well, this assumption does not hold up, at least not at White Rock and other Dallas area lakes. I've consistently caught them on yellow, yellow-brown, and even red flies, about 3/32" long; although one problem is a lot of misses on flies this small. They seem not to get hooked half of the time.
