A Modern Hook
A "panfish" hook purchased at Walmart'e is much thicker wire than was used even back in 1880! This collection of hooks was called a sea fishing hook set so even smaller hooks existed in finer wire back then. U.S. hooks not as good 100 years later. hmmmm..
