Been meaning to get up near Clinton Mo. to Pogue conservation area. It's on my to do list. It's an area with several strip pits. Only drawback, It's about 85 miles up there from here. I have to go up to Overland Park, Ks first week of next month. I might, just might get an hour or so there coming home.

I totally understand that John. I asked on a local state thread of another forum, about where to fish over there from the bank. A couple different folks mentioned the dock I caught them at. One went so far as to tell me direction and approximate distance to some known structure. Thats where those came from...I don't get over there often.

Wow huge place!!I fish smaller easier to learn water. Shepherds lake where I have gotten many Black Crappie 12"-15" is only 74 acres.

Hey John, according to google Stockton Lake is 24,000 acres and has 298 miles of shoreline. It has both white and black crappies in it. It's about an hour's drive, give or take from the house.

Nice White Crappie! I never see those in the waters I fish in New Jersey. Only Black Crappie.
