We have 5-6" of ice, Bruce! The 3" is the snow we got last night.

3 inches is getting a little thin for me.

About three inches last night, Jeffrey. Greg and I are planning a Tuesday outing at a lake we have caught Gills, Perch, Pickerel, Bass ,Trout and a few Catfish before . Mid ice is tough however. Still ,we gotta get out !

Pretty perch John…..looks like you guys are in for some winter weather this week!

Me too Bruce, these two might be some of the deepest ice Fish I've ever caught. I guess the basin Perch might be a mid-ice season pattern.

Love those perch, nice!

The smallest reel I own; Daiwa AG500. Also, the smallest Ice rod I own.HT 25" Spring bobber extended to its fullest. This setup with 3# test and dead sticked off a bucket rod holder with a tungsten Jig/Waxie caught the only two fish. Bottom was 32 feet under transducer. Fish hooked up at around 30 feet.
