Enjoyed it immensely Allen !  Glad you like Carl! Funny thing, the nut on the Spindle holding the upper section of body to the spool came loose and was separating while fishing but I caught one more fish with the reel acting up like this .I would just push it together and make another cast.Fixed it when I got home .My $ 10 Browning reel I bought in a Junk shop in Delaware still works!LOL!

Ah, now I see.  First time in a yak.  Fun, isn't it?  I've never fished Saltwater.  Brackish water when I was a kid living in Norfolk, VA, while my Dad served in the Navy.

Adam and Slip , the biggest surprise was the 1st of two Shad I hooked and brought to the boat. Then it flopped off as I lifted it to get it in the boat. Fought harder than the stripers even though they didnt feel as solid a fish . It had Attitude!
