Welcome to the group LedHed.  You've captured a lot of good pictures with a wide variety of species.
  • Jim Gronaw

Man...if I ever get my act together ( like, that's gonna happen!) I'll buy that ticket and make my way to Perris. I don't have to catch one of the balloonish two-pounders...I just want to fish in that environment and chum it up with you guys!
  • Jim Gronaw

Hope the medical issues work out, LH. I am bouncing back and forth from fall bluegilling to big carp adventures. The local carp mafia guys claim that it is big fish time right up to ice-up.
  • Tim Overbaugh

    Sonny,

I hope you can send the reef gill out to me and possibly another to add to the box.

It would be very interesting to see one of those west coast gills up close.

It's good you froze it in a towel. If you didn't already, wet the towel again and refreeze it in 2 sealed plastic bags.  This will keep it in good condition.

    Good catching,

    Tim

Hey LH, I was checking out your tube hackle jigs on jigcraft and i was curious, do you tip them with anything or do you fish them plain, and also how do they work on bluegill???

  • dick tabbert

Thanks I'll try them out I can see they worked well for you.

  • dick tabbert

I posted it on a friends request I thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone or is that fish.

Thanks for turning me to the sickle type jigs and hooks. Got my batch today, and they got deadly straight out of the bag. Drew my blood during examination of the batch. This is like a hybrid between circle hooks and the Owner's wide gap jigs. Intimidating, to say the least.

LedHed, Dennis lives right there at Havasu. He loves to have a BBG member to fish with:

LedHed,  do  you sell those jigs,? I'm assuming you tie your own. If you buy them, where?
