Hi Jen, those are some impressive nymphs you tied.I'm not as good at the small detailed flies. As for the tail on the wasp I trim the foam to a point then glue it and tie it down. Have fun and keep tying great flies.

Hi Jen, thanks for your friendship. Be careful though. I never pick on people I ain't friends with. Take Greg McWilliams. Take him OFF! Like you would a stray cat. He called my pole pink in my Stickfish picture. You ain't gonna be a friend like that are you? Crimson, see crimson!
  • bluegillboogieman

As long as you know I'm harmless, really like Greg McWilliams and LOFR and flappin' my lips, especially with those two, what's not to like? My best redeeming quality is judgement. I have never gotten so close as to get sucked into the black hole of fly tying, an inescapable bottomless pit that I had the good sense to stay clear of. You weren't dumb enough to fall in that were you?
  • bluegillboogieman

I don't mind if you are in the black hole. I just ain't going near it. I have seen your work and appreciated your skill and talent. From afar!!!
    Very afar!!!
  • bluegillboogieman

Jen, It's Licensed To Gill not kill!
  • bluegillboogieman

OU Crimson? Ain't they somewhere behind that team of smurfs?
  • bluegillboogieman

I was talking about the Boise State smurfs being ranked ahead of Oklahoma. Of course OU will beat the longhorns. Just run it down their throats like Bama did.
  • bluegillboogieman

I'm posting a picture tomorrow you might like. Of course I've already posted it in that group I invited you to.
  • juggalobluegill

    thanks
  • Jim Gronaw

Hey Jen...you're right about the 3 wt or lighter...we used 2 and 4 lb test micro light spinning gear to handle these fish, and we caught many of our 5 to 6 lb largemouths on the same, including a 25 inch pickerel I hooked right in the tip of the snout on a jig. No need to go heavy.
  • Jim Gronaw

    Sure...let's talk fishin!

  • Jeffrey D. Abney

Thanks for the comment Jen. Absolutely, can you imagine what friends and family want me to cook when they visit? Got to get the cornmeal and peanut oil ready for the fourth of July. Good luck with the fly rod. I enjoy your pics and comments.

     TOOTY!

  • Leo Nguyen

Love your profile photo. Such a mysterious ambiance to what you will catch..

  • Leo Nguyen

I wish the winter was more of a winter, rather than a mix bag of winter and late spring. There's not enough rain to make snow for winter sports activities, but the cold threw the bites completely off because the fishes were completely confused on how they should hunt. Been like this for the past 4 years.

  • dick tabbert

Jen I have been on there before but for very brief periods of time I thought it was sales. Thank you I see after further investigation you can see the flies as far as what they actually look like I can see many prospects there. Again thanks.

  • Boomer

Thanks very much Jen I appreciate the welcome.
