    hey jeff, wish I stayed in ca. where the weather is always good!!! them are some nice gills you've landed!!! it's still cold in northern illinois and the gills are still in deep water. im hoping that we get a warm up so they will start to spawn!!! it's on when that happens!!! will keep you posted when things pick up. all i've been catching are bullheads on nightcrawlers....

    Hey Jeff, thats a novel idea.  I was out at Perris Lake today and caught 4 bluegill on circle hooks and crickets.  All were hooked in the mouth.  All in 15-20 feet of water.  Thanks for the tip.

    Thanks for the welcome Jeff. Indeed this is a great website. Plenty of tricks to learn from the members. There are 4 flies that I want to try out which I saw earlier in the Group. I'm adding tons of notes into my PDA from all the info found at this site. We have got to meet one another at Perris one of these days. My "forced" vacation days are coming up. So, I'll sync the week up with you to hit the water together.
