Some here are obsessed with photos or length and weight. Others just want to learn how to find some like the ones in the photos. I'm one of the latter and hope you've got all the answers. Oh goody!, I get to clue you in. Those tabs near the top like Main and My page take you most everywhere you want to go. Blogs are people who sort of keep a diary of what they are doing. Forum is where questions and answers and/or opinions are discussed. I see you've already found the Fly Rod Group. In groups, it's like a club with special interests. The discussions you see and join there are limited to that group though non groupers can look at them. The forum is open to all . On the right side of the page about 6 inches down is a little block that says quick add. The drop down arrow shows you what you can easily do there like start a discussion or upload some photos. If you start a discussion about something you want to know, do or rant or rave about, a form comes up with a title block and comment block. A good title gets attention so make it something like PEOPLE WHO FISH WITH CRICKETS ARE SISSYS, AND HERE"S WHY. Then you state the reasons in the comment block and click start or submit, whatever is in the blue thing at the bottom. Then you hold on cause here comes the Boogieman. He likes crickets.

Bruce Condello is the guy in charge. Check the rules tab to keep him happy. He is also probably the one to ask anything more complicated than what I've just told you. Just click on anything that sounds interesting to you. It won't hurt anything and if it ain't interesting, click on something else.

Some of these guys catch gills on tiny spoons, crankbaits and a lot of other lures you woudn't think. Before finding this spot, I thought crickets were the only way. As for the sizes of some of them, I've always believed it's not how big they are, it;s how bad are they?

Welcome to the site. It's always nice to see some big gills caught on a fly rod. Also, my dad forwarded me a video of you unhookum the other day, and I definitely have to try it out.

I read a response you wrote mentioning some commercial fishing experience in South Florida and was wondering if you had any experience fishing around the Vero Beach area? My wife and I are taking a trip down there in a few weeks and are thinking about bring a couple of kayaks. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Terry what state are you referring to for the St John river I use to hunt at nine mile bridge on the St John in northren Maine just nosie

There is a St john that starts in Canada and flows through northren Maine north to the Alantic also I got to spend some time there in1996 and 1997. I will dig out some of my pictures and post them somday. It was wonderful country and so quiet that when you spoke out loud it would hurt your own ears that river up in that part just had Brookies in there down cloeser there would be other fish

As far as I know, Florida Fishing Weekly is no longer in business. I know subscribers got notification.

I usualy use my 1-weight, but sometimes it's just too light. Hooked a fish today on it that had its way with me!

YES I HAVE AND LOVE IT!!!! I can't wait to try it out icefishing. Alot of the lures we use in winter, through the ice have 14, 12, and 10 size hooks, just like a fly. It is a great product, Thanks!

That's great - I bought a 4 wt. Temple Fork Finesse last year and now I am wondering if I should have bought the 3 wt.. I guess I was afraid I couldn't cast the larger nymphs with the 2 or 3 wt..
