Very nice Greg…..what’s your favorite way to catch them in your pond? Thanks

An inch-long piece of nightcrawler on a #1 Owner light-wire circle hook, split shot about 18" up the line, toss it out and let it sink to the bottom, then just drag/hop it back nice and slow.  I pinch the barb down so I can turn them loose with minimal damage.

I've also had good results using the Trout Magnet jigs/bodies.

Thanks Greg……back in the 80s I was moved to South Carolina with the Navy and I was introduced to the large shellcrackers in the Santee Cooper lakes, the gentleman that gave me my indoctrination would use an entire Canadian Night Crawler and split shot combination….the big Redears would stay in the grass beds trying to avoid the huge catfish population so he would drop the worm in the grass beds and it would start snaking before it would get hammered by a Redear……I remember getting 12 crawlers for a dollar now it”s five or more in most places today…..continued success with your fish and pond….
