I've been in NC for 20 years, much of my fishing has remained in TN with my father and brother.  Dale Hollow and Kentucky Lake are our primary targets for shellcrackers and bluegill.  Though I have many friends here in the Carolina's I have failed to find any fishing friends.  Most of my outings have been to the coast where I've been learning to surf fish but I know my passion is still in fresh water fishing.  Looking forward to learning and sharing with each of you as I learn more about this great area I call home.  Willing to share anything to help and hoping for the same in return.  thanks in advance.

Been out twice this new year so far and it has been dominated by an active Yellow Perch bite...........with a number of citation fish coming on minnow tipped jigs in creek channels and river flats........getting close to spawning, all fish are full of eggs or milk respectively...........temperatures have been moderate and it appears like this trend will continue through January down east North Carolina........had tremendous amounts of rain as usual during El Nino' years............Already looking forward to Good Friday around here but fish can be caught for the patient angler that takes advantage of our mild conditions.........Good Luck to you all Fishing North Carolina Style......

Throw in some trophy yellow perch too.......getting close to spawning on the Albemarle......seems a bit early with such warmer water temps......
