I would like to make my own imitation of a bait I use frequently to catch bluegill with. Its small in size, about 1.25 inches long. Here's a picture of what it looks like.

My daughter moved to south Georgia a few years ago, got married to a local lad this past December. They now live in Blackshear, not far from Waycross. I have seen all kinds of opportunities to fish, Satilla Rver, the Okefenokee NWR and alot of other places. Anybody know of any convenient places for 'ol dad to fish in his pontoon boat when he visits?

I live in Southern Illinois and I'm looking for suggestions for Lakes to the South that my son and I can drive to in a day or less. The bluegill won't be on the beds here for at least two months, and I'm tired of bass and crappie fishing. Any suggestions?
