Many many Yellows along with a few Gills and dink Bass fishing the day after flooding rains .The muddy water near the entering pipe of runoff had YPerch STACKED near it . 64th oz. Trout Magnets left to fall to the bottom were picked up by  9-11" YP.All eight  colors in the box caught them . Crawlers and Crawler pieces and plain Yellow Bucktails  too.

HI, I am from S.E. Michigan and catching big perch is my favorite thing to do fishing!  Any perch fisherman here from my area?

After checking on limits in the 2011NJFW Digest, the Perch take allowed is actually 25 in combo with Sunfish not 50 like I stated below. Not sure where I got that first figure now? A few lakes have a 10 fish limit .

Angler survey on Deep Creek Lake in MD encouraged a 10 yellow perch limit per angler per day so the DNR made it so. I think this may save the trophy fishery at this lake where you have the chance to ice 10 fish a day from 13 to 15 inches long. These perch do not quite get the skeletal length of the Great Lakes fish, but their body dynamics lend to realistic chances for a 2-pound trophy.

There is no limit on Lake Champlain.    Smaller lakes it is 50 here also no limit on sunnies.    There should be a limit on Champlain also.   The fishing is not as good as it was 40 years ago here.   I keep between 30 and 35 that maks a great meal and a few left overs for my lunch the next day.

We do have some Bluegills here but the Pumpkinseed or sunnie is more abundent

That a way Howard !Inspirational catch there!

What's the daily limit for keeping Perch up there in Vermont ?In New Jersey it's 50 no size minimum, same as Sunfish.
