Today;53 degrees in June ! and overcast ,Got 9 YP and 2 BG casting ST jigs from shore .I didn't catch until I abandoned the jiggled rod tip moderate retrieve and switched to a crawling steady retrieve .Hands were a bit cold  but fish were warm to the touch on release.

So far these Squirrel Tail Jigs have caught 5 species in my home lake casting from shore  ;Yellow Perch White Perch , Bluegill, Pumpkinseed, and Crappie. The Yellow Perch are the the most numerous catches and will stalk a slow retrieve and take at your feet . 1/8 and 16th oz. pictured her but I am making up and catching on white headed 32nd oz. Jigs  as well.

16th oz. Marabou Jigs un tipped once the water gets 64 degrees equals Yellow and White Perch .The retrieve that triggered was slow steady reeling with rod tip jiggles and occasional pauses.
