Are any of you using a Classic Accessories Colorado XT? My ODC-420L is worse enough for wear that I'm planning to replace it this year and am thinking of going up to a pontoon.

For anyone who has one, may I ask a few questions about the XT?

- Will both a battery box and an ice chest fit on the rear deck? If so, how large of an ice chest?

- Anything you wish was different about it? If so, what?

- I'd like to use my MinnKota 30 on it. How well does it track with a trolling motor, and how hard is it to reach around to the tiller, or does the extension handle on the motor come forward far enough that this isn't an issue?

- I have no plans of fishing saltwater, but you never know. Is it approved for saltwater use, or FW only?

- Anything else I should know :-)

Thanks,

Jonathan

Jeff,
Right now my problem is where to put the thing. It would be ridiculous to break it down each time and deflate, so I have to clear a spot for it.
Dick is right, though, I may just use it in the yard as a lounge chair.

Jeff don't worry about McScruff hurting the gill population he'll be out there bobbing around sleeping the thing is so roomy and comfortable like mine can't help but sneak in a nap.

The pontube came today, a Classic Accessories, "Chehalis."
Here is a pic link with a few details.

Jeff,
It is a deluxe size. It should be interesting. I still need things, like a hand pump and emergency paddle, but it should be a comfy ride.
I fish the back waters and coves of a very large lake in SC, so it should come in handy.

Mike,
The Chehalis has a 350# capacity, one reason I wanted it. I also wanted bigger, not compact. I can throw it in the carpeted truck bed and be at my fishing spots within minutes. I don't need ultralight or tiny, so I opted for deluxe.
I am also refurbishing a personal, framed pontoon boat. It will need new bladders and skins and Cover Bonanza sells 8 ft. Models that will fit. In talking with them, I learned this one was on clearance, new. I pulled the trigger. This will get the lard @ss I also carry on the water, and I can get the pontoon going at my leisure.
I'd stick with your FC's since you are used to them. I got this one because the price was easily in my range.

Sorry to be the cause of such pain. lol  Thank you for taking the time to answer a couple of the important questions.

I am considering a new tube this season, but I'll hold out till I know what I am getting. Probably a solidly proven Outcast Fat Cat. I love the Fish Cat #4 but eat too well I guess.
