I picked this reel at a pawn shop today. I've seen them for years but never had one. How old is this is this one, if anyone out there knows any info would be great.

Has any one seen any thing fishing related made by Union Manufacting Company in Memphis, Tn? This little reel made of aluminum and attaches to pole without a seat. I used it on a fiberglass pole when I was a kid. I can't find anything related to it on the internet.

<p>I bought this reel at a local auction. The first one I remember seeing was in about 1957, it belonged to a friend of my dads. The rod and reel are one piece. The rod is solid fiberglass and 5' long. Markings on it says it was manufactured in Detroit Michigan.…<a href="http://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/2059834920?profile=original" target="_self"><img class="align-full" src="http://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/2059834920?profile=RESIZE_320x320" width="200"></img></a> <a href="http://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/2059835354?profile=original" target="_self"><img class="align-full" src="http://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/2059835354?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024" width="750"></img></a></p>
