If you decide to try one, remove the cover opposit the handle and make sure the screw that holds the handle on is tight. Also check them for lube.

Show me your boat or describe what your dream panfish boat would be like. I am thinking about getting a Tracker Panfish 17 boat in the near future. I want a boat without tall casting decks, mainly so that my little Grandson can be introduced to fishing by walking on the bottom floor instead of up high where he would be more prone to falling off. I also like the ledge all around the boat to sit on, and built in rod lockers. If I want to cast up high there is enough of a front casting deck…

I also like the ledge all around the boat to sit on, and built in rod lockers. If I want to cast up high there is enough of a front casting deck to do so. And I have been looking at used models that seem to go in the 4K range with a 4 stroke 40HP motor on them, which would likely fill all my needs for speed and trolling. If anyone has one, please respond with your comments on the Tracker or post a picture of your boat.

Hi, does anyone here fish with Tenkara rods or would like to know more about them? I have been fishing mostly with flyrods for 40+ years. Last year I bought a TenkaraUSA Iwana Rod and love it. It is a ball with bluegills. Last week I bought my second rod from TenkaraUSA and am looking forward for fishing it also. Reply if you are fishing Tenkara and where you are.

I love this thing. It is made for fly fishing I guess, which is not my main flame. I'm an old timer with good old hook, line and sinker. EVERYTHING I need now hangs on my chest. It has six snaps around the bottom half with a clip in the bottom center for clipping to your shirt to restrict flopping around. There is a tippet bar across the middle for spools of line and the part that goes around the neck is made of neoprene and is all day comfortable.

Next is one of my handiest tools, a magnetic hook threader. Once again, it is made for flies, but I use plain hooks just fine. Just lay the eye of the hook near the center "V" and it grabs it and practically lines it up with the line channel. Then just slide your line down the channel and it slips right through that little hole, just like that. The older I get, the more I like that.

I bought several wire benders and lure making machines to build some Pearl spinners like we used to buy in the sixties. However, I have found that I love building all kinds of weird lures for BG and amazed that some really catch fish. I built a "double up" that I can actually attach two or three jigs side by side to and have caught two fish at the same time with it on numerous occasions. These are my new favorite bluegill hooks. They are incredibly sharp and strong, not to mention their green color. I'm sure you can get them without the green coloration. I don't think the coloration matters anyway. If a bluegill hits a golden hooked worm, is that any less natural than a green hooked worm? Both are equally unnatural. I'm going to do a side by side test some time, but presently, these are some great hooks!

I read on a local message board about this product a local fellow was making. I went and bought a pakage of each color Pink, Purple, and blue. These are fished more of a twitch than a jigging motion. First time out we caught Gills, seeds, Pearch and Bass They worked great I used a small piece of worm with them. They are sold in 6 paks with 3 jig heads. I think I paid 1.75 per pak This guys email is( motorfisher1@msn.com) if someone wanted to try them

"Hi Doug, when the TFO “Bug Launcher” was announced, I requested a demo rod to “test drive”, more out of curiosity than for use since all my grandkids are all grown-ups now days.
I really didn’t like it, most likely because of the small handle, and because it is built on the same rod blank as their TFO “Signature” series my opinion was to go with the 8’6” 5 wt. Signature.
My post above:
“I had forgotten how small a seven year old is until this afternoon when visiting our son’s home and met his young nephew. His parent’s house is on a large HOA pond/lake and I asked him if he would like for me to teach him how to fish - he was overjoyed.”

When I looked at the little guy’s hands I realized the Bug Launcher would be a natural with the small grip and the $80.00 price compared to the Signature price of $110.00 bucks is a no-brainer.
Lifetime guarantee to boot."
