Very nice report and that's an excellent crappie in my book! Last weekend we went through an active chain pickerel area and my monofilament got cut twice by what I assumed were nice sized chains........
Go get 'em Jeffrey . Fished with Brother Greg this past Tuesday .Got only one Crappie but it was a 1#14 oz. ,15inch beauty .Slow trolled a Perch Pattern Shad Rap and she grabbed it. The Pickerel wer on Fire we got 19 of them on spoons and Keitech Easy Shiners and some Live bait on our home made spinner harnesses. Most Fish came casting the shallows 7' and under .Water temp 52.7-52.9 Degrees Rain and overcast and a little chilly.
The Beaver Moon is a very predictable cycle on the Albemarle.......although deep water is sparse you can be assured the "holes" will start holding suspending sunfish........I enjoy this time before the true cold sets in..........
