Reverse Rigging for Senkos and Other Stick Worms

OK, guys... a number of members have asked about the reverse rigging for Senkos, Yum Dingers and similar style worms we used to fish on top of heavy algae and weed mats to get those explosive, blow-up strikes from quality bass during late summer. So, here are a few pics to show this simple adaption...just run the 'tapered' end of the worm in on the front of the off-set worm hook so it can glide over top of the slop easier than the blunt end.

Fish it on 20 to 30 lb Sonic Braid...work it like a scum-frog and inch it along on top of the There is still lots of hot weather bassing to do all over the map, so give it a shot at your local, weedy lake!

I fish for Bass most of the time I'm on the water. When I want to load up some eating fish, I will go after some Gills, Crappie, and walleyes, and catfish! I do most of my fishinf in WI & IN. But I have traveled all over the midwest and parts of the south! I am glad someone thought of starting this forum, after all the Bass is in the Sunfish family!

Thanks Jim-70 degrees then but cranking is still working in November in New Jersey and although I havent taken a temp and have been concentrating on numbers of panfish on jigs I 've caught two very nice bass cranking in 4-10 FOW. A stop and go retrieve. One bass at 6' was was 18.5 inches ...the other
around 16 or 17" .Not Brutes but I was casting cranks only a few times because I've been wiping up on Crappies and Gills with jigs and sticking mostly to that.I gotta say I usually ditch bassing with cranks this time of year but dont believe it has been my smartest move.

Hey guys, I did my normal boat patrol at Piney Run on Tues evening and ran into a local basser who was deep cranking the hydrilla at about 14 to 17 ft down and ripping the baits through tops of the weeds. Between two anglers they had 10 bass. I weighed several of them...topped by a 21 1/2 in 4.87 lber and four others over 4 lbs. Smallest fish were high threes...a very nice catch and the water was at 70 F.

Might want to consider deep cranking over weed tops in your neighborhood!

Josh -I only caught three Walleye in my life and I dont remember them jumping.Dont recall but I'm thinking the walleye with light sensitive eyes would bulldog back to the weeds or rocks where they came from. You might have had a nice bass there bud!
