Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

What is most important to you?

A. Fish For Relaxation

This might include: Napping, Not Holding the Rod, Not Watching, Happy With Whatever the Day Brings is fine, even if that includes a few fish

B. Enjoy Outdoors

You love being out in the sun and you love being on the water. You want to catch a few more fish, but being in the outdoors invigorates you.

C. Your Are Top Predator

You crave catching fish, you love to eat some fish. Not catching fish drives you mad- you might even have to stop at the store for fish or go to the freezer.

D. Intense Competitor

You have to catch more than the next guy. Bragging sessions break out between friends and family. You must catch a bunch of fish for big fish to be happy. When you are fishing - nothing can distract you - eyes on the line, float and water at all times.

Ok - which are you?

You can rank them in order or just pick your favorite. I know there is cross-over and people enjoy multiple reasons, but I want to get a handle on different types of people ou there.

im a D..minus the float..

I left off "rod tip" - but I meant line-watcher on "D". I thought not everyone used a float - it seems impossible that some don't use a float (nah.... just kidding).

Tight Lines!

Depends on who I have with me. With buddies the D definitely comes out in me and them lol. With my little girl, and most of the time I'd say type B.

Im an A/B, with a C- and a touch of D

I have never competed at catching fish, however. The whole idea strikes me as nonsense, except match fishing as practiced by the Brits.

More A & B but if my cousin is with me its a big ol D, I usually work 65-75 hours a week so my fish/hunt'n time is used to unwind but I pay constant attention to whats go'n on, always on the feel for a bite.

Mostly its a recreational thing tho, thers enuff things in life we have to be productive at so its nice to just slow down a bit.

Hmmm.  This is tough. I think what kind of angler I am depends on the day, and more importantly, what my reason for fishing is at that particular time. You'll never catch me napping, or not holding onto the rod. On the other hand, I don't set out with my goal being to beat someone else. I may well do all in my power to best my personal size record though, and I'm pretty darn serious about that.

If I'm trying to catch supper, then I'll focus on moving around until I catch a dozen or so keeper size, and call it quits. I seldom fish just for the sake of fishing, or just to be doing something outdoors anymore. Too many constraints on my time these days, and actually, it's pretty convenient to fish when it involves throwing your gear in the back of the kawasaki and running down to the ponds, which are 3 minutes away. I fish most every evening during Spring , Summer, and Fall, that's probably when I'm a type B.

I guess if I had to choose, I would place myself somewhere between a B, and a C.

I choose B. Enjoy Outdoors but sometimes when I bring buddies along it turns into D :)
I am a B. C. which really makes me love it when my "D" kicks in. Now, I can totally enjoy when I have concentrated so hard on the bite and tried to catch the fish that was never there that I get hypnotized by the calm, lifeless water that I get slappy and become an "A", which is why I love fishing. I appreciate all types of fishing and can do them all - but I like catching a lot of fish best...

I guess I am an E- none of the above.

I LOVE to catch fish, but don't have to in order to enjoy the day. For me it's all about the puzzle. I am OBSESSED with the puzzle. Where are they, what are they biting on? If I can catch this many on this bait, what happens if I switch to this other one?

Competitive? I suppose, but with myself or the fish, NEVER with anyone else. I am intense to the point of forgetting to eat or drink. Compulsive to the degree that I get cramps and fatigue in casting-arm muscles but enjoy watching other people catch fish more than catching them myself.

Sometimes, on a tough day, the one fish I catch is a greater triumph than the hundreds I might have caught the day before.

I like easy fishing; I love tough fishing, and I LIVE FOR impossible fishing.

Best Fishes,

Keith

A. for sure nothing like a good day relaxing with a line in the water.

B. yes sir love being outside, a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.

 C.  I consider myself a very good fisherman sometimes I catch fish to just catch fish, I really don't recall a day on the water where I didnt catch atleast one fish I was targeting.

D. I would gladly give anyone my spot I enjoy seeing other people catch fish just as much as I like catching them, but I wont tell you my secret techniques :p.

C and D.    i wish i could relax when i go, but after taking so many fishless trips that have had hundreds of mile attached to some of them, for the purpose of going and bringing fish back for fish frys amongst friends i always feel pressure to produce ,  even by myself.  Fishing does not relax me , if anything my blood pressure spikes.

This is a good question and I would not bore any with BS, but if you really want to know..I am a fisherman, period any kind anywhere. I am a line watching, truth streaching, cork floating, troutfishing, bream busting, bass, striped bass, salt water angling enjoyer of Gods great outdoors for which I am greatful that he though so much of us to let us enjoy while on this rock. So what kind of angler am I, all the above I think. Heck I will even fish for Carp if nothing else will bite. It's all about the TUGG..
