<p>Feeding and having the right food change going on. Ferdalizing, aerating and feed I think is what helping my pond. Now that the fish are getting bigger I'll have to start reducing total number of fish. Pound of fish per acre. 500 2" fish goes to 200 8" fish. A little rain would really help right now</p>

<p>I have always been amazed at how many fish there are in your pond Rick. And, they seem to be doing very well, growing nicely. So, I am thinking that the size of a pond doesn't matter as much as other factors such as aeration, feeding, etc</p>

A 6" LMB should be about one year of age and should be sexually mature by this time, if I'm not mistaken. LMB spawn in the spring when water temperatures get to about 60 degrees.
