Anyone know who makes this reinforced metallic fiber rod? Perfect for the on-the-go rod or even fly fishing rod upgrade of the modern day.

LEO;; THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I SAW ONE OF THESE THAT YOUR POSTING;; HOWEVER !!!  IN THE ;; LATE 50;S;; EARLY 60;S  I USEDA ALL METAL ROD ;; BAIT CASTING REEL;; THAT PROVED TO BE JUST AS INDRUSTABLE AS THIS ONE !  5; 1/2 FT LONG;; NOT SENTIVE AT ALL;; JUST;; AS TUFF A ROD AS YOU COULD GET !!   ON SOME OCCASSIONS AROUND HERE;; I COME ACROSS ONE;; I;LL KEEP A EYE OUT FOR ONE FOR YA !

New technology, new level of potential. Some companies have similar material in their rods, and the rods appear to have very sensitive reaction.

…LOL.... i dont fish anything over 6-0'

All my go to ultra lights were 5' 6" or 6' I probably have owned over 100 through the years and still have lots of them in my barn. I bought an 8' and got to admit its getting to be my goto rod. I know there are circumstances where it not feasible but when possible I'll fish it I really love the bend and sensitivity of it.

LOL I used a few 10ft to cast towards 300ft, using 1 to 2oz weights. Perfect to get to the deeper migratory trails and failing zones when I'm on shore for certain waterbodies. From some wicked videos, I see the rods can flex and whip practically at 160°. That' a crap load of inertia to launch. I don't think the bait will even stay on at this point.

OK;; SO I DO LOVE MY FLY RODS;; BUT ON OCCASSION I PICK UP A SPINNING ROD;; MY FAVS ARE FENWICK IN AROUND 7 FOOTERS;; ((  WISHING I COULD FIND LONGER  ONES !!!))  LIKE DICKY SAYS;;;  JUST SOMETHING ABOUT THE LONGER  BEND;;  CASTING BEAUTIES;; NOT TO MENTION;; BEING ABLE TO ADD A TOUCH MORE LEVERAGE ON BIGGER FISH.  TO EACH;; THEIR OWN;; ON THE LENGTH OF RODS THEY PREFER;;;;  I JUST HAVE A LOT MORE FUN;; USING GOOD;; LONGER RODS.........  AND IF I COULD FIND SOMEONE;; WHO COULD MAKE A GOOD FLY ROD;; AROUND A 12 FOOTER;;; OH YEA !!!  WE WOULD BE TALKING !!!!!!!

12ft is definitely in the realm of long casting for salmons and dealing with heavy fighters in fast currents. I love to carry super long poles at time as well, for fishing in hard to reach locations either along the banks or while on the kayaks. I already broke a few rods trying to struggle with fishes that accidentally snagged on heavy branches, or worst yet, underwater structures, while dealing with high wind on the kayaks. No fun.

Definitely an indestructible 12ft, with medium or heavy casting strength. Perfect for ocean front surf fishing, and freshwater ultimate casting away from everyone.

OOOO  LEO;; IN MY MUCH YOUNGER DAYS; I USE TO SALT WATER FISH;;;;  A LOTTTTTT !!!   LOVED THE 12;; TO 16 FT RIGS !!  REDFISH;; BLUEFISH;; SNAPPER;; BONITA;; TRIGGERFISH; SHARK; SNOOK; CROAKER  WAS ALWAYS FUN !! (((  THOSE WERE ONLY A VERY FEW OF WHAT I CAUGHT !!))  FROM  NORTH CAROLINA COAST;; TO THE FLORIDA KEYS;; TO THE TEXAS COAST WAS A FAVORITS HAUNT FOR ME;; THEN;; THE BEHAMAS ISLS TOOK PLACE !!  ALWAYS WANTED TO CATCH;; A ;; PISCASO TRIGGERFISH;; ONLY EVER SAW ONE ; ALIVE;; BEAUTIFUL FISH;; WITH A NASTY REPUTATION !!
