<p>Them Strikemaster Ultralites are nice. Have had mine for about a month now. Mine is 6" for some remote gill lakes. Plan is to team it up with a Tanaka gas power head for the ulimate, light, fast, panfish auger. Nils also makes a fine auger which I also have in 6" that one has a Strikemaster 4 stroke powerhead. It is light, reliable, and quieter than a 2 stroke. </p>

<p>I use a strikemaster Lazer, and love it. I hear very good things also about the Nils, and the Normark Finbore. Both of those designs use an offset handle, which is supposedly much better than the inline handle used on most augers, the lazer included.</p>
