These are my new favorite bluegill hooks. They are incredibly sharp and strong, not to mention their green color. I'm sure you can get them without the green coloration. I don't think the coloration matters anyway. If a bluegill hits a golden hooked worm, is that any less natural than a green hooked worm? Both are equally unnatural. I'm going to do a side by side test some time, but presently, these are some great hooks!
Try the same in Red - color found on injured fish. Green's ok, because as you said it's further from shiny and closer to red. I am not sure I have tried these hooks but I believe I have.
I think their wire is a little too thick and heavy also their barb is too large for fishing worms, spikes. They do too much damage to the bait when putting it on. I prefer a microbarb hook in a lighter wire.
