Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I'm not sure if this subject has been brought up here before, and if it has, I'm sorry for repeating it.  I am just really curious as to what fishing lines everyone is using for panfish.  Monofilament? Fluorocarbon? Hybrids?  What brands... Trilene, Yozuri, Maxima, P-Line, etc., and what colors... clear, green, fluorescent, red, etc...  Although I pretty much stay with 2 lb test clear mono,  I do enjoy being able to easily see my line, so I have used Fluorescent mono and tied on a clear leader, so as to not spook the fish. (Can they really see that line down 10 feet?)  With these ultralight lines, you are very limited to a small choice of brands, kinds, and colors.

Current lines of choice ;Suffix seige 6# test .Pline #4

Kastking braid is the best line I've ever cast for any species from the smallest fish to the largest (3" bass -7.5# catfish).

It cast light lures a long distance due to line softness - even when using my Zebco spin-cast reel

Good strike detection and hooksets at that distance due to zero stretch

Small diameter for pound test (I use 8#/ 4# diameter and can pull my rowboat to unhook a snag!)

Small diameter line allows for better lure action (fish are NOT line shy) - lures can be worked deep (my usual depth range is from 3 - 8.5' using 1/24 oz, 1/16 oz and 3/22 oz ball head jigs with plastics); never use a leader (just one more thing to break when  fighting bass); my smallest fish count is over 30 fish/ normal is over 50 fish of all sizes using this line)

Doesn't fray with use and no line memory nor line twist

Leave rods in the back of the p/u 24/7 and sunlight never affects the line

Cheapest quality braid anywhere
