Small crawfish are a great bait, I also like small leeches bluegill and shellcracker love'm. It's just a shame you can't get leeches around without having to order them.

I like to use a 1/32 or 1/64 hair jig with a whole redworm the like them best if they are alive and wigling. Throw close to bank or past first weed line ,fish very slow and if water temps are up fish close to bottom. Let the bait fall to bottom and reel in very slow. Red ears can,t resist.
